Spain’s Directorate of Civil Aviation (“Dirección General de Aviación Civil”) has assigned seven weekly frequencies to Air Europa to potentially operate between Barcelona (BCN) and Istanbul (IST). Lufthansa has delayed the planned resumption of direct flights between Frankfurt and Tehran as widespread protests and deteriorating security conditions in Iran continue to unsettle international carriers.
