Several Etihad Airways flights have been spotted departing from Zayed International Airport (AUD) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, despite earlier announcements that flights were grounded amid Iranian military strikes. Belgian Special Operations Forces boarded a sanctioned oil tanker in the North Sea overnight in an operation that relied heavily on airborne support, with two French Navy NH90 helicopters used to insert troops onto the ship, according to Belgian and French military statements. US Central Command said three US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle strike fighters flying in support of Operation Epic Fury went down over Kuwait at 7:03 Kuwait time on March 2, 2026, in what it described as an apparent friendly fire incident.
