Textron Aviation is to offer Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service as a new connectivity option on its Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft, further broadening Wi-Fi connectivity across its midsize jets. The announcement comes after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved AeroMech’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Starlink’s high-speed internet service, the company confirmed in a statement on September 18, 2025. On September 15, an Air Corsica aircraft was forced to circle near Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport (AJA) for about 20 minutes after the air traffic controller (ATC) fell asleep in the tower. The controller eventually woke up after repeated calls from the crew and intervention of the fire department, and the flight landed safely. The pilots operating the flight said that they remained calm throughout the unusual situation.
