Dubai-based megacarrier Emirates has enacted its power bank on board ban, first proposed earlier in 2025. Under the new rules, which came into effect on October 1, 2025, using any kind of power bank is prohibited on board all Emirates flights. WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Two Royal New Zealand Air Force NH90 helicopters have flown from Australia to New Zealand on a two-day, record-breaking journey for the aircraft, which each carried two 1,100lb external fuel tanks, according to the service.The aircraft flew from Royal Australian Air Force Base Amberley, near Brisbane, via Norfolk Island, to RNZAF Base Auckland, a distance of 1,765 miles over water. Yesterday, a Boeing 747-8 that previously belonged to Korean Air arrived at Hamburg Airport (HAM) in the north of Germany after an overnight flight from James M Cox Dayton International Airport (DAY) in the US federal state of Ohio. The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), and the United States Air Force (USAF) have begun Exercise Bushido Guardian 25, a large-scale trilateral fighter drill designed to strengthen integration among the three Indo-Pacific security partners.  The exercise runs from September 29 to October 10, 2025, at Misawa Air Base in northern Japan.
