Airborne 06.26.26: Breezy Adventure, Rotax E-AD, Artemis II Honors

The adventure began in Breed’s hometown of Oceanside, California, with the first major stop in Brownsville, Texas. While there, he managed to capture footage of SpaceX’s twelfth Starship launch from the unique perspective of his Breezy, recording the event with a 360 degree camera setup. EASA said an airworthiness directive (AD) has been issued for BRP-Rotax engines as a result of a reported occurrence where the oil spray nozzle and the M7 x 16 hexagon screws securing the propeller shaft bearing in the propeller gearbox were missing on a recently manufactured engine. Two U.S. lawmakers are behind new bipartisan legislation that would award the Artemis II astronauts a Congressional Gold Medal. Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Arizona is joining retiring Nebraska GOP Rep.
