“The proposed sale will enhance Denmark’s capability to meet current and future threats by providing a credible force that is capable of deterring adversaries and participating in NATO operations. The proposed sale will support its goal of improving national and territorial defense as well as interoperability with US and NATO forces.” Source: A statement made as the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced that the State Department approved a potential foreign military sale to NATO ally Denmark for up to three Boeing P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft. The deal would be worth about $1.8 billion.
