Qatar Airways increases Doha-Dubai flights to five daily as UAE network grows

Qatar Airways is set to increase its service between Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and Dubai International Airport (DXB) gradually from two to five daily flights, bringing the route to up to 35 weekly frequencies.

The expansion, which was announced on June 5, 2026, is being rolled out in phases.

The airline added a third daily flight effective June 5, 2026, with a fourth to follow on June 15, 2026 and a fifth to resume during the summer season. The flights will be operated using Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.

Rebuilding the UAE network

The increased Dubai frequencies are part of a broader push by Qatar Airways to restore and expand its presence in the United Arab Emirates. The airline resumed flights to Dubai and Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) in April 2026 and restarted service to Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) as of May 2026.

Qatar Airways now claims to be operating to more than 20 destinations across the Middle East and plans to expand its global network to over 160 destinations by the summer.

Meeting demand between the two hubs

The additional frequencies are aimed at meeting growing demand between Doha and Dubai, offering passengers a greater degree of flexibility, particularly on a route that serves both business and leisure travelers. Dubai and Doha are among the busiest aviation hubs in the Gulf region and increased connectivity between the two supports passenger flows across both airlines’ wider networks.

Qatar Airways was named the World’s Best Airline for a ninth time running at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards and recently received Cirium’s Platinum recognition for reliability and operational performance.
