Luxury airline Beond axes flight schedule until October

The luxury, all-business airline Beond will “pause” its flight schedule over the summer between European cities and its principal destination at the Maldives.

While Beond did not confirm its reason behind the operational change, the war in Iran and the subsequent rise in jet fuel prices is presumed to be the trigger.

On April 19, 2026, the airline turned to social media to issue an update on its summer schedule and plans to resume scheduled services in October 2026 for the winter season.

During the European summer, the Maldives is in its low season which features increased chances of rain and stronger winds.

Beond told customers that those booked to travel with the airline over the summer will be contacted by staff members within the next 72 hours to discuss rebooking options.

Customers are being given fee-free moves to winter, future travel withing 12 months and a full refund as possible options to take up.

In March 2026, Beond confirmed that it would introduce a fuel-related surcharge across its network and encouraged passengers to confirm their bookings before the change to secure “current fares”.

The carrier wrote: “As fuel costs continue to shape operating conditions globally, fare structures are being adjusted across the industry.”

Beond’s existing fleet includes a single Airbus A319 and A321 aircraft configured in an all-business cabin with 44 and 68 seats, respectively.

On March 23, 2026, Beond announced that that it will be connecting Male (MLE), in the Maldives, with Paris and London from December 2026.

All of Beond’s European services are operated with an intermediate stop in the Middle East, which, until recently, was either Riyadh (RUH) or Dubai Al Maktoum (DWC).
