Two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) on March 11, 2026, resulting in injuries to four individuals, according to a statement from the Dubai Media Office.

The incident caused minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national, while one Indian national sustained moderate injuries.

Despite the drone incident, air traffic at DXB continued to operate as normal, although takeoffs were briefly paused.

Authorities confirm that two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) a short while ago, resulting in minor injuries to two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national, and moderate injuries to one Indian national. Air traffic is operating as normal.

The recent  incident is part of a larger campaign by Iran, which has been targeting civilian infrastructure and disrupting oil markets, air, and maritime traffic in response to US-Israeli strikes that sparked the ongoing Middle East war. The oil-rich Gulf region has been bearing the brunt of these attacks, with Iran targeting both US assets and civilian infrastructure.

Dubai Airports, which operates both DXB and Dubai World Central (DWC), had previously resumed operations partially from March 7, 2026, after a brief interruption due to the ongoing conflict. The latest drone incident near DXB highlights the continued challenges faced by the region as the war persists.

Authorities in Dubai have assured the public that air traffic is operating as normal despite the drone incident, and they continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors.
