Emirates and Loong Air have signed an interline agreement that will see the Dubai flag carrier increase its footprint in China and offer customers access to additional cities beyond its own gateways.

On February 13, 2026, Emirates said its passengers will immediately have access to 22 points across China operated by Loong Air via Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

According to Emirates, the cities span several regions across East, Northeast, South, Central, and Southwest China.

“The partnership offers customers the simplicity of booking multi-airline itineraries with a single fare, along with one seamless baggage policy and consistent fare conditions throughout their journey,” said a spokesperson for Emirates.

They added: “Emirates’ expanded reach in China will further enhance connectivity for leisure and business travelers alike, unlocking convenient access to key domestic hubs including Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, and Dazhou.”

Emirates explained that the new interline agreement with Loong Air is part of its ongoing commitment to the Chinese market and follows the launch last year of two new Chinese destinations – Shenzhen and Hangzhou.

Emirates has been operating in the Chinese mainland since 2004 and now serves five major cities with 49 weekly flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou using a mix of Airbus A380s, A350s and Boeing 777s.

Zhejiang Loong Airlines was founded in April 2011 and launched passenger services on December 29, 2013.

According to ch-aviation, Loong Air has an active fleet of 76 aircraft including 36 Airbus A320neos, 27 A320-200s, 12 A321neos and a single A319-100.
