Bombardier is expanding its presence in the United States (US) with the acquisition of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) service provider Velocity Maintenance Solutions.

On February 19, 2026, the Canadian aerospace manufacturer said it had been drawn to Velocity Maintenance Solutions’ “strong reputation for service excellence” and expertise.

Velocity Maintenance Solutions utilizes a 35,000 sq. ft. hangar at Wilmington Airport (ILG) and operates 14 mobile repair trucks across the US.

While the terms of the acquisition remain confidential to both parties, Bombardier confirmed its acquisition included the Velocity team, hangar, and mobile response trucks.

“Velocity Maintenance Solutions’ capabilities and customer-focused culture make it an excellent fit for Bombardier. We are thrilled to welcome their talented team and support them as they continue to provide exceptional service to their clients,” said Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Aftermarket Services.

He added: “This acquisition is part of our commitment to continually elevate our service standards: a mindset that has brought us number one rankings in industry surveys for two consecutive years.”

Velocity Maintenance Solutions described the agreement as an “exciting milestone” for its team and as a “strong validation” of its work supporting business aviation customers.

“Becoming part of Bombardier further strengthens the global customer support network while opening new opportunities for collaboration, resources, and growth. Just as importantly, Velocity will continue delivering the same trusted, responsive service and support our customers rely on today,” said a spokesperson for Velocity Maintenance Solutions.

They added: “Velocity will continue supporting all makes and models of corporate aircraft, with the added strength, resources, and global reach of Bombardier behind us.”

The sale was completed through Bombardier’s US subsidiary, Learjet Inc.
