In the lead-up to the opening of its new Terminal 5, Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) has launched an immersive exhibition offering visitors a first look at the ambitious design and innovations planned for the facility.

The free exhibition, titled ‘T5 In the Making’, will run from January 6 to March 2026 in the airport’s Terminal 3 Arrival Hall.

Jointly organized by Singapore’s Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and Changi Airport Group, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the vision behind one of the airport’s most ambitious expansions through interactive displays, scale models and experiential zones.

The exhibition is divided into five zones that trace Changi Airport’s evolution and future direction. Visitors can explore the airport’s strategic transition from Paya Lebar to its current location, examine Terminal 5’s design and scale, and learn about technologies being developed to address workforce challenges, an aging population and climate change concerns.

The experience concludes with interactive artificial intelligence demonstrations and detailed scale models showcasing both Terminal 5 and the broader Changi East development project.

Registration for visit slots is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the official website, with each person able to book for up to five visitors. The airport said that walk-in visits will be accepted based on availability.

Terminal 5 is set to be a centerpiece of the larger Changi East development, which also includes the airport’s third runway, cargo facilities, and supporting aviation and ground transportation infrastructure. Construction began in May 2024, with completion targeted for the mid-2030s.

The lengthy project is expected to generate significant economic opportunities for Singapore, driving demand across various sectors and creating jobs both at the airport and in related industries. Beyond reinforcing Changi’s position as a world-class aviation hub, Terminal 5 is designed to serve as a community gathering space for families, friends and airport workers.
