Air Cambodia debuts ATR’s ‘X-Space Table’ premium seats on its regional fleet

Air Cambodia has become the first airline to launch ATR’s new premium seat concept on its ATR 72 aircraft. This involves converting two standard economy seats into a single, larger premium seat using the new ‘X-Space Table’ system.

The manufacturer announced the news in a statement on November 21, 2025.

“We are eager to introduce a new business class offering across our fleet of ATRs”, said David Zhan, Vice Chairman and CEO of Air Cambodia. “This solution supports our commitment to providing greater comfort and choice to passengers across Cambodia.”

The ‘X-Space Table’ is included in ATR’s HighLine series of premium cabin interiors, which was introduced in 2023, according to the announcement. This innovative system enables airlines to convert two standard economy seats into one premium seat quickly and easily.

In Air Cambodia’s configuration, the business class area will have four premium seats arranged in two rows, with a one-by-one configuration. Each seat will provide direct access to both the window and the aisle, along with added comfort, privacy, and personal storage options.

The manufacturer claims that this adaptability enables airlines “respond efficiently to fluctuating passenger demand, seasonal variations or charter-specific requirements with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency”.

Additionally, aircraft fitted with ATR HighLine seats produce 45% less CO2 per flight compared to similarly sized jets.

Air Cambodia currently flies ATR 72 aircraft on major regional routes, including Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh City, and other destinations.
