Gulfstream Aerospace has announced that its newly certified G800, the world’s longest-range business jet, has set its eighth city-pair speed record while heading to the Dubai Airshow 2025.

The eighth city-pair speed record for the G800 was achieved on a flight from Phuket, Thailand, to Dubai, UAE, taking five hours and 38 minutes, the manufacturer said in a statement on November 17, 2025, the first day of the Dubai Airshow.

This record adds to seven others, including a flight from Miami to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 12 hours and 33 minutes, and from Florence, Italy, to Savannah in nine hours and 33 minutes. With this latest achievement, Gulfstream said that its fleet now holds more than 760 city-pair speed records.

“We are already seeing overwhelming interest and demand for the G800 and are pleased to be showcasing it in Dubai this week,” said Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream. “The Middle East continues to be a strong region for Gulfstream, and we are looking forward to meeting with our customers as well as prospective customers.”

The company said that its G800 is being showcased at the Dubai Airshow alongside the Gulfstream G700. The G800 can fly 8,200 nautical miles (15,186 kilometers) at a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85 and 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 kilometers) at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, making it the longest-range aircraft in Gulfstream’s fleet.

The G800 offers a low cabin altitude of 2,840 feet (866 meters) when cruising at 41,000 feet (12,497 meters), features 100% fresh air in the cabin, a plasma ionization air purification system, and 16 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows.

Gulfstream’s first G800 aircraft was delivered on August 27, 2025, after receiving type certification from both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2025. Gulfstream aims to deliver 13 G800s by the end of this year.

AeroTime is covering the Dubai Airshow 2025 live from the show floor, delivering breaking news and exclusive insights throughout the week. Drop by booth #294 to meet our team during the event.
