LATAM Airlines Group is expected to receive its E195-E2 jet order from Embraer “relatively quickly”, allowing the airline to introduce between 25 and 30 new destinations in Brazil, the airline’s CEO Jerome Cadier told Reuters.

On September 22, 2025, LATAM Airlines Group announced a major fleet renewal and expansion plan, confirming an order for up to 74 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This agreement includes 24 firm orders and 50 options and is valued at around $2.1 billion at list prices. The first delivery is expected in the second half of 2026.

Cadier said that LATAM Airlines Brasil, the Brazilian division of the larger LATAM Airlines Group, will determine within six months which routes the jets will operate, according to a Reuters report published on September 26, 2025.

“An important portion of them will be delivered next year, by the end of the year, and then another portion in 2027,” he said.

When the order was announced, Roberto Alvo, the CEO of LATAM Airlines Group, said in the company’s statement that the new jets will help the airline continue its journey of “profitable growth by enhancing that connectivity through the opening of new destinations”.

Over the past four years, LATAM has steadily grown its footprint, expanding from 129 destinations to approximately 160.

LATAM’s fleet currently consists of 362 aircraft, which includes 283 Airbus narrowbodies, three Airbus widebodies on short-term lease, 56 Boeing widebodies, and 20 Boeing freighters.
