Regional aircraft leasing company TrueNoord has placed an order for 20 Embraer E195-E2 jets, with options to purchase up to 30 more, in a deal worth USD $1.8 billion.

In a statement released on October 14, 2025, Embraer announced that the additional 30 jets include 20 E195-E2 and up to 10 E175-E1 aircraft.

CEO of TrueNoord Anne-Bart Tieleman said that this is the company’s first direct order with an aircraft manufacturer.

“It marks an important stepping stone in our continued growth as a global leasing platform, underlining our commitment to investing in next-generation, fuel-efficient regional jets,” Tieleman said

The E195-E2 is the largest aircraft in Embraer’s E-Jet E2 family, seating up to 146 passengers in a single-class configuration. According to Embraer’s official website, the aircraft is designed to “maximize returns and efficiency” on high-frequency routes.

Moreover, it features high-aspect ratio wings, 4th generation full fly-by-wire technology, and other aerodynamic improvements. This allows the E195-E2 to achieve a -29% reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous-generation E-Jets.

Arjan Meijer, CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said that the E195-E2 is an ideal choice for lessors and operators looking to future-proof their fleets.

“This agreement also sends a strong signal to the market – reinforcing the momentum behind next-generation small narrowbody aircraft and the growing demand for sustainable, right-sized aircraft,” Meijer concluded.
