Pilot Town Hall Members Wanted Answers About Pleasance’s Removal, Board Plans The two newest Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association (AOPA) board members addressed the issue of the dismissal of former AOPA President and CEO Darren Pleasance at an overflow pilot town hall meeting at the Buckeye Air Fair and AOPA Fly-In Saturday. Many members said they were upset and angry about the termination and wanted to know why. Charlie Lynch and Dale Klapmeier (who is taken not yet a board member), presented as the two newest board members, opened their portion of the town hall with their backgrounds as pilots and then took questions from members at the town hall. One member wanted to know why the board has "stonewalled" any reconsideration of rehiring Pleasance.
