The Amex Offers program often has promotions that can save you money on hotel stays. We frequently see offers with Hilton and Marriott, since these are also Amex co-brand credit card partners. We’ve just seen several new offers introduced, and they have the potential to provide quite a bit in savings.
Variable Amex Offers deals for Marriott stays
The Amex Offers program has just rolled out several new targeted promotions that can save you money on the cost of Marriott stays.
I see offers on my account for EDITION, JW Marriott, Luxury Collection, Ritz-Carlton, and W Hotels. The offers seem to either be for $130 back on $650 of spending, or $170 back on $850 of spending (in both cases, equal to 20% back, in the right increments).
As you’d expect, there are some terms to be aware of:
- These offers are valid if you pay for your stay between September 30 and December 31, 2025
- These offers are valid for stays at properties in the United States, the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico
- These offers exclude gift card purchases, online retail purchases, and purchases of Bonvoy points
- The terms state that you need to book directly with Marriott to take advantage of this, though a Marriott STARS booking should also qualify
- This can be combined with any promotion being offered directly by Marriott
- Registration is required
Personally, I see these offers more on personal cards than on business cards, though that might be specific to my account. You’ll want to check your account to see what you’re eligible for.
As mentioned above, we see Amex Offers deals for Marriott stays with some frequency. Typically when we see such a deal, there’s one offer that covers many Marriott brands. Since each Amex Offers deal can only be used once across cards linked to the same Amex log-in, that means you’re typically limited to using the offer one time.
What’s nice here is that the offer for each brand is separate, meaning you could take advantage of each of these deals. I hope we see more of this in the future, as this potentially provides exponentially more value, assuming you practice some level of Marriott brand promiscuity.
Bottom line
There are new Amex Offers deals for Marriott stays, which can save you hundreds on the cost of Marriott stays. These offers seem to be targeted at Marriott’s higher end brands, though it’s possible that some other brands are available as well. Ideally, you’ll see these offers on a co-branded Marriott card, so that you can earn 6x points on your stay, while also earning cash back.
