JetBlue will be flying even further into Europe next year. The airline has announced that it is adding new daily summer seasonal service from
Boston Logan International Airport to Barcelona and Milan in 2026. The new routes are scheduled to start in April and May respectively, with tickets going on sale from tomorrow.
JetBlue has also confirmed that all of this year’s seasonal transatlantic routes from Boston will be returning. This will mean that the airline will offer nine daily nonstops from Boston to Europe in the summer, to go with the six daily nonstop flights to Europe that it will offer from
New York JFK Airport.
Two New European Routes From Boston
Like many other airlines, JetBlue is doubling down on the premium leisure market as it looks to stem more than five years of losses. It has the tools to turn things around: The Mint business class product is profitable, highly regarded by passengers, and available on every Airbus A321LR that it uses on its transatlantic routes. So as it cuts unprofitable routes elsewhere, it makes sense for the carrier to be adding more premium-rich routes across the pond.
JetBlue will be adding a duo of destinations from Boston, both of which have long been highly popular with US travelers for years. They are:
-
Barcelona-El Prat Airport
: Starting April 16, the route will operate daily over the summer. JetBlue will compete on the route with
Delta Air Lines
which also offers a daily summer seasonal service using an A330-900, and
Iberia
, which operates a daily A330-200 service over the summer. -
Milan Malpensa Airport
: Starting May 11, the route will operate daily over the summer. Delta also flies the route four times weekly (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday) over the summer using an A330-300.
JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty, was quick to emphasize that the airline’s “award-winning Mint premium experience” will be a key differentiator as it enters these new markets:
“Customers flying to Europe with JetBlue enjoy elevated service, with the kind of thoughtful design, privacy, and hospitality they simply won’t find with legacy carriers, and we’re proud to continue delivering incredible value and style on both sides of the Atlantic.”
JetBlue’s Transatlantic Service From Boston
The addition of two new routes will see JetBlue operating nine daily transatlantic flights from Boston next summer. The airline currently operates routes to Amsterdam, Paris and London (LHR and LGW) year-round, and has confirmed that the new routes to Edinburgh Airport and
Madrid Barajas Airport that it launched earlier this year will be returning next summer.

London Heathrow Airport, and a year-round daily flight to
Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport. It has also confirmed that the summer seasonal routes to Amsterdam, Dublin, and Edinburgh will be returning next year.
Why JetBlue Will Soon Be Opening Its Own Airport Lounges
The carrier’s first lounge will be opening at New York-JFK Airport in late 2025, followed by one in Boston soon after.
The Mint Transatlantic Experience
JetBlue’s Mint business class provides a premium experience on all its transatlantic routes using the A321LR. Mint Suites are based on the Thompson Aero Vantage Solo platform, configured in a 1-1 layout with direct aisle access, retractable privacy doors, retractable tray table, static cocktail table, a 17″ HD touchscreen display, with each seat converting to a 77″ fully-flat bed. In addition, two ‘Mint Studio’ seats in row 1 offer even more space, featuring a side ottoman, additional storage, and a retractable 22″ HD touchscreen display.
The in-flight dining experience is also a key differentiator, focusing on “restaurant-style” service where passengers can customize their meals by selecting from a range of small plates, served when they prefer to allow for a personalized dining schedule. The cabin is also known for amenity kits curated by high-end brands like D.S. & Durga.
JetBlue’s Mint passengers will also soon have access to the airline’s new lounges at JFK and BOS. The first lounge, spanning 8,000 square feet within Terminal 5 at JFK, is on track to open in December. Following shortly thereafter, a larger, 11,000-square-foot lounge is scheduled to open in Terminal C at BOS in 2026 in time for the new summer routes.
