Covered List Exempts ‘Trusted’ Drones From National Security-Related Import Sale And Restrictions The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated its covered list to remove four uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) determined by the Department of War (DoW) to not pose national security risks. The four systems removed from the list are the SiFly Aviation Q12, the Mobilicom SkyHopper Series and associated components, the ScoutDI Scout 137 and the Verge X1. Last year, following an interagency determination of unacceptable national security risks, the FCC added all UAS and UAS-critical components produced in foreign countries to the covered list, preventing them from getting approval for the import or sale of new models in the United States.
