German leisure airline Condor has announced the timetable that will see the carrier phase out its Boeing 757 operations by the end of 2025. The final scheduled flights of the type have already been scheduled for early November, with a special farewell trip already being planned for aviation enthusiasts.
For around 30 years, the pencil-like shape of the Boeing 757 has formed the backbone of Condor’s short and medium-haul fleet. According to ch-aviation, the airline has operated 18 Boeing 757-200s and nine of the longer 757-300s during that time. However, with just six 757-300s left in regular service, the days of the type with Condor are coming to an end.
To mark the occasion of the retirement of the last 757s, Condor has announced that the last two commercial passenger flights using 757-300s will operate at the end of October and the start of November 2025. One aircraft will operate a Düsseldorf (DUS) to Palma De Mallorca (PMI) rotation on October 29, 2025, while the very last flight will be a Frankfurt (FRA) to Hurghada (HRG) return trip on November 2, 2025.
One last special flight
However, these flights will not quite bring the curtain down on 757 operations at the airline. To honor the special occasion of the type’s retirement, Condor will operate an exclusive farewell flight on November 5, 2025, with long-standing staff members as well as fans of the Boeing 757-300 on board. A total of 75 tickets will be auctioned via the Condor online shop starting September 22, 2025.
The special farewell flight is planned to depart Frankfurt for Vienna, where the Boeing 757 will be celebrated with a dedicated farewell event. To conclude the day, a Condor statement said that “the world’s highest party” will take place on the return flight to Frankfurt, where the type will finally end Condor service.
“Those unable to secure one of the limited tickets for the farewell flight will still have the opportunity to experience the last Boeing 757-300 aircraft in Germany in regular flight operations until early November. According to current plans, Condor will continue operating six Boeing 757s until the end of October, connecting Düsseldorf and Frankfurt with popular vacation destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Hurghada, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria,” added the airline’s statement.
“By bidding farewell to the Boeing 757, an era at Condor comes to an end,” said Christian Schmitt, COO of Condor. “At the same time, this marks the beginning of a new chapter with a modern, more efficient, and more sustainable Airbus fleet. Moreover, Condor has long since become more than just a leisure airline, as evidenced by our expanded network with new city connections. That is why our farewell flight combines the nostalgia of our last B757 with a joyful look into the future, symbolized by our city destination Vienna.”

Fleet renewal in progress
The airline has operated Boeing aircraft for around 35 years, having also operated 18 Boeing 767-300ERs alongside the 757s over the years. However, the Boeing era has been overtaken by the Airbus era at the airline. The carrier now operates a fleet of 20 A320s, three A320neos, 13 A321s, six A321neos, and 18 A330-900neos. It also has a further 43 next-generation Airbus planes on order for delivery in the coming years.
The decision to retire the type symbolizes more than just a fleet modernization process. It highlights Condor’s push towards sustainability and more environmentally conscious operations with a newer fleet, as the last of the Boeings bows out.
