Integrated executive aviation group Comlux has announced that it will complete the cabin outfitting of eight VIP airliners for Magnifica Air: six Airbus A220 and two A321 aircraft. The contract includes options for an unspecified number of additional aircraft.
The announcement was made during the NBAA-BACE executive aviation show, which is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 14-16, 2025.
Comlux will carry out this project at its Indianapolis completion center, where it has outfitted all the preceding A220 VIP conversions.
Work on the aircraft will cover the aircraft structure, the cabin interior fittings and the aircraft’s connectivity system, as well as several bespoke features requested by Magnifica Air.
The eight aircraft will form the initial fleet of Magnifica Air, which is a new premium operator expecting to launch in 2027. Founded by US businessman Wade Black, Magnifica Air aims to provide a private jet-like experience on scheduled services, bridging the gap between first class travel and executive aviation. Each aircraft will be configured to carry only 45 to 54 passengers and will include two to four private suites.
Comlux highlighted that, while this project leverages the group’s experience in the TwoTwenty program, which developed a corporate version of the Airbus A220 (with the European aircraft manufacturer as a partner), this is a separate project.
Magnifica Air’s eight aircraft will be leased from Air Lease Corporation, with the fitting work starting as soon as the aircraft are delivered.
