Cebu Pacific expands widebody fleet with delivery of 13th Airbus A330neo

Cebu Pacific’s (CEB) latest Airbus A330neo touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) on November 2, 2025, after completing its delivery flight from Airbus’ facility in Toulouse, France. The aircraft is the third of four widebody jets set to join the low-cost carrier’s fleet this year.

The airline took delivery of its first two A330neos on March 28, 2025, and July 18, 2025. The final aircraft is expected to arrive before year’s end.

According to CEB, the 459-seat widebody will be deployed on key domestic routes. On November 2, 2025, the aircraft began its four times weekly service between Manila and Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) beginning November 16, 2025, it will be used on a daily service between Manila and Bohol–Panglao International Airport (TAG).

The deployment marks a shift in how Philippine carriers are using widebody aircraft, which are traditionally reserved for international flights. By placing these larger planes on high-demand domestic sectors, Cebu Pacific said that it can carry more passengers while maintaining operational efficiency.

The carrier, which was recently named by Centre for Aviation (CAPA) as Asia’s Low-Cost Airline of the Year, said that the A330neo gives them operational flexibility to serve everything from regional hops to long-haul international flights, depending on where demand is strongest.

As the newest generation of Airbus aircraft, the A330neo burns 15% less fuel per flight and generates significantly less noise compared to previous models. The improved fuel efficiency translates directly to lower carbon emissions, supporting the airline’s environmental commitments while reducing operating costs.

“Being the largest A330neo operator in Asia reflects our strong commitment to enhancing connectivity across the region. This aircraft enables us to serve more passengers while keeping costs low, which is a key part of our mission to offer affordable fares for every Juan,” said Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer.
