Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest provider of ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) services with a fleet of 187 aircraft across six continents, announced on October 28, 2025, that it is establishing its new regional headquarters in Dubai South.

This new facility, which will become fully operational by Q4 2027 and have an initial staff of around 800, is set to become the regional headquarters for the Avia Solutions Group as it continues to expand in the Middle East and its adjacent regions.

It will feature contemporary workspaces, executive offices and advanced meeting facilities and also serve as a support center for Avia Solutions Group’s worldwide operations. In addition to the ACMI, cargo and charter businesses, these include other related services such as cybersecurity, digital marketing and aviation insurance.

ASG’s new regional headquarters will also host an Agentic AI innovation hub, which aims to attract talent from around the world.

The selection of Dubai South is far from random. Besides the fact that Avia Solutions Group has long had an important presence in Dubai, the new facility will be located at the heart of Dubai’s new aerospace industry hub, the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH).

This is a vast area next to Al Maktoum International Airport which has been designated to host a whole ecosystem of aviation related activities and their supporting services. Al Maktoum International Airport, which is also known as Dubai World Central (DWC), is expected to become the world’s busiest when the transfer of all passenger and air cargo activities from Dubai International Airport (DXB) is completed by 2032. DWC is then expected to continue growing, with the goal of reaching a capacity of 260 million passengers per year towards 2050.

“Welcoming Avia Solutions Group to Dubai South further strengthens the emirate’s position as a preferred destination for global corporations seeking to expand into the region and capitalize on Dubai’s world-class infrastructure, innovative solutions and business-friendly environment,” said H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South “At Dubai South, our mandate is to attract leading international companies in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to establish Dubai as the aviation capital of the world.”

Gediminas Ziemelis, Founder and Chairman of Avia Solutions Group, also commented on the decision to relocate to the fast-developing Dubai South area.

“The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub at Dubai South is among the most advanced and integrated aviation ecosystems in the world. Establishing our regional headquarters in Dubai will enable us to attract top talent globally, meet the growing demands of our customers across the region and beyond.”

Prior to the announcement, on October 27, 2025, Ziemelis met with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a member of Dubai’s ruling family, as well as Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and the Emirates Group, Second Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai and President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).
