As of Friday, October 17th, IndiGo has finalized a firm order for 30 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, ultimately converting a June Memorandum of Understanding and lifting its Airbus A350 backlog up to a whopping 60 jets. These moves chart a path toward a world of long-haul flying for the Indian budget airline. Earlier this month, SWISS International Air Lines (SWISS), a member of the Lufthansa Group, took delivery of its first Airbus A350-900. The jet, registered HB-IAF, has been named Lausanne and features a special wanderlust-themed livery.
