The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has moved to accelerate its air traffic control modernization program by exempting certain projects from standard acquisition rules and launching a search for vendors to design the next generation of traffic management systems. American Airlines has announced a new status match offer that allows passengers to match their loyalty status from other airlines and even upgrade to a higher tier than the one they currently hold. The initiative is part of the carrier’s strategy to boost business travel sales.
