Passengers onboard an international Delta Air Lines flight from New York to London Heathrow ended up in Boston on Friday, September 26, after the crew experienced a descent due to a loss of power from the aircraft’s left-hand engine. The flight, DL1, subsequently declared an emergency landing and safely landed at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). DL1 was operating between New York John F. Trevor Milton, the founder and former CEO of hydrogen truck startup Nikola who left the company amid fraud charges, is back with a new venture in aviation. Milton is now chief executive of SyberJet Aircraft, which on September 29, 2025, announced the launch of the SJ36, a next-generation light jet that the manufacturer says will redefine its category.  The nine-seat jet is scheduled to begin flight testing in 2027, with certification and first deliveries targeted for 2032. Passengers aboard an American Airlines Airbus A321-200 at Los Angeles International Airport were delayed by over two hours on Sunday night after the pilots had to initiate a rejected takeoff. As per CNN, the flight, AA2453, was taking off for Boston in the evening of September 28 when an AeroLogic Boeing 777F entered the same runway ahead. The air traffic controller subsequently canceled AA2453’s takeoff clearance, and the pilots performed a high-speed rejected takeoff. Lufthansa has announced plans to expand to more secondary US cities as a “strategic growth pathway” to achieving its ambitious profit targets by the end of the decade.
