Boeing and the union representing its striking defense workers have met with federal mediators in another attempt to end a nine-week strike. Boeing has started work on developing a new single-aisle aircraft that will eventually replace the Boeing 737 MAX, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.  The new aircraft is still in the early stages of development, and plans are still being finalized, according to sources who spoke with the WSJ.
