Drone footage released by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has shown just how destructive UPS Flight 2976 was upon impact, as it came to an abrupt end while attempting to depart from Louisville International Standiford Field (SDF) on November 4. Archer Aviation has signed agreements to acquire control of Hawthorne Municipal Airport (HHR) in Southern California for $126 million in cash, positioning the site as both an operations base for its planned Los Angeles air-taxi network and a testbed for artificial-intelligence-based aviation technologies.
