Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) is set to launch scheduled services to Anchorage Airport (ANC) in the first half of 2026, with tickets opening up in its next schedule extension that will come out later this month. Passengers onboard a Qantas flight to South Africa had their trip cut short when the Airbus A380 aircraft encountered a technical issue with a satellite, which then required the plane to return to Sydney, Australia. By the time the ordeal had finished, passengers had been on a nine-hour flight to nowhere. Wizz Air has inaugurated a new base at Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport (EVN), serving Armenia’s capital.  The ultra-low-cost carrier, which already links Yerevan to several European destinations, will base two Airbus A321neo aircraft at its new Armenian base. The 431st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron was activated for the first time since WW2 at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, to operate MQ-9A Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles. 82 years after it was first formed, a ceremony held on Sept. 28, 2025 saw the 431st Expeditionary Squadron reactivated into the U.S. Air Force.
