Plans Approved For Replacement Carrier-Based Stealth Fighter The Pentagon has approved plans for the U.S. Navy’s next-generation carrier-based stealth fighter jet to replace the aging fleet of F/A-18E/F Super Hornets that have been in service for decades. This clears the path for the Navy to select between Boeing and Northrop Grumman for the award of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) contract.
Nation’s Civil Aviation Minister Denies Complaints of the Captain’s Father Indian Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has finally spoken out against claims of “dirty business” in the investigation of Air India flight 171, which left 260 people dead. The complaint was submitted by Pushkar Raj Sabharwal, whose son was one of the pilots in the cockpit when the tragic accident occurred.
Seattle-based Alaska Airlines and Boeing made headlines last January when a Boeing 737 MAX 9 took off from Portland, and its door plug blew out during ascent. The aircraft involved, registration N704AL, has since been returned to Boeing by Alaska Airlines, with Boeing now the formal owner. Cirrus Aircraft is expanding Vision Jet training to the US West Coast with the addition of a new full-flight simulator at its Scottsdale, Arizona, facility. The move marks the first time Vision Jet simulator training will be offered outside the company’s flagship Cirrus Vision Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The new simulator, built by CAE, replicates the Vision Jet’s cockpit environment and avionics suite to train pilots on procedures, maneuvers, and emergency operations. American Airlines took delivery of its newest aircraft, N313UR and N812UP, on Thursday, as noted by planespotter Thomas Beam on Instagram. The 80th and 81st Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets were ferried from Boeing Field (BFI) in Washington to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Texas. Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad Airways is to launch flights to Kabul, Afghanistan, making it the latest airline to open a route to the Afghan capital. The new service will begin on December 18, 2025, in response to the “growing demand for travel between the UAE and Afghanistan”, the Emirati carrier announced in a statement on October 10, 2025. The Army recently announced a slew of military occupational specialties, or MOSs, that are being added as eligible jobs within the service’s Civilian Acquired Skills Program, or ACASP, an initiative that allows soldiers with particular sets of skills to skip certain portions of training early in their Army careers. With the latest addition of 17 job specialties, which officially were added on Oct. 1, the number of jobs that qualify for the ACASP has climbed to 60.
