United Airlines has confirmed that its frequency from Denver to Anchorage will rise to a record four flights a day next summer. It’ll be double the offering of summer 2025. It is a competitive response to Southwest’s entry next year. It will be interesting to see if and how Southwest responds. United has served the route since 1994. Until now, the Star Alliance member’s maximum frequency was three flights per day. However, this only occurred for a limited period in July and August 2016-2018. Its operation in 2026 will be markedly different. United’s Denver-Anchorage Flights Rise To Four Daily Credit: GCMap…

But this runs into the perennial question of generalists versus specialists. Should counter-drone, or C-UAS, be a skill taught across the U.S. Army, with every soldier a potential asset for air defense? Or should C-UAS be assigned to highly trained specialists? The service needs to create a specialized C-UAS Military Occupational Specialty, or MOS, argues one Army officer.“Dedicated CUAS MOSs will focus on defensive operations by defending maneuver formations from enemy kinetic UAS [unmanned aerial systems] and ISR [intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance] assets,” wrote Capt. Peter Clifton in a September essay for the Army’s Air Defense Artillery Journal. “This will…

American Airlines’ flight attendant union is expressing frustration over an upcoming change to the company’s healthcare plan, as flagged by PYOK. I’m curious to see how this plays out. American angers union with 2026 healthcare changes The Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) isn’t happy about some changes that American is making to employee healthcare coverage for 2026. Specifically, this impacts members who rely on GLP-1 medications for their health. Beginning January 1, 2026, the company’s health plan will only cover GLP-1 medications for individuals with type 2 diabetes. This means that unless flight attendants have diabetes, they will no longer be…
On the morning of Monday, October 20, a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage disrupted hundreds of sites and apps worldwide, including those used by airlines, banks, social media platforms and many of Amazon’s own services.
