Germany has already contracted 35 F-35As, and the additional aircraft would take its planned fleet to 50 airframes. Nearly seven months after German media reported the country’s Minister of Defense Boris Pistorious backing his country’s choice to acquire 35 F-35 Lightning IIs, and vehemently denying speculations about a rethink, Der Spiegel has now reported budgetary requests for an additional 15 airframes. Northrop Grumman reported higher sales and profits in the third quarter of 2025 and raised its full-year earnings forecast, aided by strong demand for defense programs and improved efficiency across most of its divisions.  The Falls Church, Virginia-based company said it brought in $10.42 billion in revenue for the quarter ending September 30, a 4% increase from the same period last year. Korean Air will purchase four Bombardier Global 6500 business jets, of which two will be modified with L3Harris’ help and the other two will be modified in South Korea. L3Harris announced on Oct. 20, 2025, it has formally received the contract from South Korea for its next AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning and Control) aircraft. Hong Kong-based flag carrier Cathay Pacific and European Aerospace manufacturing giant Airbus have agreed to co-invest up to $70 million to accelerate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production in Asia and across the globe.
