Believed to be a naval variant of the GJ-11, the GJ-21 is expected to operate from the Type 006 Sichuan LHD after mockups of the drone were spotted on test-sites representing the ship. China’s GJ-21 UCAV was captured while flying overhead in what is considered to be its first clear image in flight. Believed to be a naval version of the GJ-11 Sharp Sword UCAV, the drone is expected to fly off the Type 076 Sichuan LHD (Landing Helicopter Dock). Originally struggling to achieve success in the China Burma India Theater, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress made its mark once tactics were changed and incendiaries were used. Originally operating out of the China Burma India Theater with disappointing results, costly losses, and constant supply issues, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress was struggling to achieve success in its intended high-altitude precision strategic bombing role. However, once tactics were changed and incendiaries were used, the B-29 made its mark. In fact, at the urging of General Claire Chennault, General Curtis LeMay allowed an incendiary strike in northeast China on the Japanese supply depot at…
It appears that dozens of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft have been involved in a purported wire fraud scheme, allegedly due to a Miami-based investor obtaining millions of dollars of funds to purchase the aircraft. 777 Partners was declared bankrupt in October last year, leaving its lenders in the dark for hundreds of millions of dollars. Joshua Wander, the co-founder of 777 Partners, a Miami-based American Investment Firm, has been more widely known for investing in European soccer (football teams), streaming platforms, and, more recently, aviation. The investment firm is behind not only Flair Airlines, Canada, but also the short-lived Bonza…
On Friday evening, October 31, two United Airlines aircraft collided at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. One aircraft, which was arriving from Chicago, made contact with another United jet that was stationary on the taxiway as it prepared for departure. Both aircraft returned to their gates immediately after the incident, and no injuries were reported among passengers or crew. The reason behind the collision remains unclear, but the ongoing staffing shortage cannot be overlooked. Yesterday, the airport was facing severe delays due to adverse weather, as well as a nationwide staffing crisis brought on by the government shutdown. Many air traffic…

It has just been confirmed that one of the most interesting transatlantic flights will be returning yet again in 2026. Maybe this will be the year I finally get to try it, even if there’s no premium cabin angle! Basics of Air Saint-Pierre’s unique transatlantic Paris flights In the summer of 2018, an interesting domestic transatlantic route launched — it operated seasonally once weekly. Specifically, ASL Airlines operated a Boeing 737-700 that was marketed by Air Saint-Pierre between Paris (CDG) and Saint Pierre and Miquelon (FSP). A fascinating domestic transatlantic route What’s Saint Pierre and Miquelon? It’s a self-governing territory of France,…
A new, congressionally-mandated United States Air Force fighter aircraft plan, one which was first reported by Breaking Defense, calls for the dramatic expansion of the Air Force’s fleet to 1,558 combat-coded jets within a decade. This marks a shift of roughly 300 more over the estimated inventory of 1,271, which was reported for 2026. This unclassified report outlines higher procurement of Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II and Boeing F-15EX Eagle II jets, all while emphasizing the next-generation capabilities of future programs like the F-47. Other programs, such as the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program, complement, not substitute, manned fighter aircraft.…

As a true Floridian, I’m not sure I’m ready for the temperatures in Iceland, but we’ll see. On the points & travel front, this week American took delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR and unveiled a new credit card, JetBlue and United launched their partnership, Delta went to court to sue…
