The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claims to have to have shot down a Sudanese Air Force Ilyushin Il-76 military transport aircraft over the city of Babanusa in West Kordofan on November 4, 2025. The paramilitary group said the aircraft had carried out airstrikes that killed dozens of civilians in nearby areas before being struck by RSF air defenses.  In a statement, the RSF said its air defense units had “successfully shot down an Ilyushin military aircraft” after it bombed the towns of Wad Banda, Aiyal Bakhit, El-Fula, and Babanusa.   The group accused the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), which it described as the “terrorist Islamic Movement’s Army,” of targeting residential areas and…

Breeze Airways had planned to start flying from Burbank to Eugene, Pasco, and Redmond in March. But all three routes have now been pulled from sale. In fact, Eugene and Pasco airports have been entirely removed from its map. Breeze announced these routes, and more, following Avelo’s ending them. Airlines often enter ready-made markets after another operator pulls out. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has officially declared a state of emergency on the morning of November 5, 2025, after a UPS McDonnell Douglas MD-11 cargo jet crashed and exploded near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), an incident which resulted in the deaths of nine individuals and injured multiple others. The aircraft was operating UPS Airlines Flight 2976 at the time of the crash.
