Delta Air Lines will soon end flights on its highest-capacity equipment: the 339-seat Airbus A350. These airframes have 30 business class seats (2-2-2), along with 63 with extra legroom seats (3-3-3). And then there are 246 seats in the main cabin (also 3-3-3). Qantas has a couple of dozen Airbus A350s on order, some of which will be used to operate the world’s longest nonstop flights. This includes flights from Sydney and Melbourne to New York and London. Changi Airport Group (CAG) has introduced FlightSaver Assurance, a new feature on the Changi App that provides travelers with instant benefits if their scheduled departure from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is delayed by three hours or more. Turkish Airlines has shared its third-quarter financial results for July to September of 2025 with the world. The Istanbul-based Star Alliance member saw its revenues grow by around 5%, with its mainline operational profits exceeding the $1 billion mark. France’s Chief of the Defense Staff, General Fabien Mandon, has warned that the toughest challenge facing the Future Combat Air System (SCAF/FCAS) is the development of a new fighter engine capable of producing around 11 tonnes of thrust, a major leap ahead of current European designs.
