Our aviation system is under serious stress at the moment. The record-long government shutdown is causing an increase in the number of sick calls among air traffic controllers, and our system has very little slack in the first place. While Dubai has consistently maintained its position as the world’s busiest international airport, for the most part, it fell into second place when overall passenger capacity was included (international + domestic). Along those lines, Visa and Mastercard are nearing a settlement with merchants, which could have some major implications for consumers, and could impact the credit card rewards that we earn. Interchange fees could decrease, in addition to new restrictions The Wall Street Journal reports that Visa and Mastercard are…
Few aircraft have changed global travel as profoundly as the Boeing 737. Introduced in the late 1960s, this twin-engine narrowbody family became the foundation of short and medium-haul air travel. Over nearly six decades, it evolved through four generations and served almost every major airline on Earth. For most of its life, it wasn’t just Boeing’s bestseller, it was the world’s most-delivered commercial jet. Although the Airbus A320 family officially surpassed the 737 in total deliveries in 2025, Boeing’s aircraft retains a legacy that is second to none. The 737’s success story is not simply about production numbers; it’s a…

According to the FAA, inspections and any corrective actions must be completed “before further flight.” The agency warned that the condition identified after the…
Qatar Airways will officially divest its entire 9.6% stake in Cathay Pacific, ending its eight-year shareholding stint with the Hong Kong-based carrier.
