BERLIN — The first of eight P-8A Poseidon submarine-hunting aircraft ordered for the German Navy arrived in Berlin last week. The aircraft will serve to ensure no Russian submarines are able to enter the open Atlantic undetected, German officials said. Although based at the northern German air base Nordholz, the fleet of Poseidon aircraft that Germany ordered in 2021 will be spending a lot of its time based abroad and surveilling the North Atlantic, German officials said on the sidelines of welcoming the first aircraft to German soil at the Berlin airport. The Poseidons will be flying out of air bases…
In August 2024, Marriott announced a licensing agreement with Sonder, which primarily offers apartment-style accommodations in urban markets. These properties were being marketed under a new collection called Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy, and this included around 9,000 rooms being added to Marriott’s portfolio. It was part of Marriott’s never-ending effort to increase its overall portfolio size at any cost. Well, there’s now a negative update on this front, and it’s incredible just how poorly this is being handled, in terms of the immediate impact on guests. On November 9, 2025, Marriott announced that it terminated its licensing agreement with with…
US airspace has faced a persistent shortage of air traffic controllers for years. However, the ongoing government shutdown has made the problem even more severe, with fewer controllers available to manage already congested skies. The shutdown has intensified the shortage by accelerating retirements, halting new training programs, and forcing many air traffic controllers to work without pay. In response, the US Federal Aviation Administration reduced airspace capacity by up to 10% at 40 of the country’s busiest airports from November 7, 2025. Amid ongoing staffing shortages and limited flight operations, the FAA could reportedly be considering deploying military personnel to…

As one of the largest airlines in the US, American Airlines provides services that connect every corner of the country. As a result, the airline has a large number of hubs to help achieve this, ten to be exact. When compared to their ferocious competitors, this number is far greater than the rest, allowing American to fly the flag at the top of the list not just in the US, but also in the world. While Delta may have the largest hub in terms of size, the scale of American’s hub-and-spoke operations remains unmatched. Other airlines across the world are…
