Malaysia Aviation Group said its long-serving Group Managing Director, Izham Ismail, will retire at the start of 2026 after nearly five decades with the company. The change marks the end of a 47-year career for Ismail at Malaysia Airlines and sets up a leadership transition during a period of renewed financial stability for the airline group.  Malaysia Aviation Group said Izham will step down on January 31, 2026. LATAM Airlines pilots in Chile began a strike at midnight local time on November 12 after mediated talks with the company reportedly failed. The action prompted the cancellation of at least 173 flights scheduled between November 12 and 17, which is expected to impact around 20,000 passengers. Embraer has unveiled a new operational concept for its A-29 Super Tucano, transforming the turboprop light-attack aircraft into a dedicated counter-drone platform, targeting the growing demand for affordable solutions to defeat unmanned aerial systems.  The Brazilian manufacturer states that the concept relies largely on sensors and weapons already integrated into the A-29, combined with updated tactics, techniques, and procedures. Hawaiian Airlines has unveiled a range of exclusive trading cards and digital cards as its newest must-have in-flight collectible. As of today, passengers can ask a pilot to receive one of four trading cards — each featuring a different type of Hawaiian aircraft — and collect up to 66 digital cards for each Hawaiian plane in the fleet.
