In this review, we are going to break down the seven biggest pieces of real estate owned by the USAF anywhere in the world. As the largest air force of any military on the planet, the USAF not only has thousands of aircraft but also numerous ballistic missile sites and extensive facilities to support operations and logistics. ACMI specialists have sprung into action with their 767 and 747 freighters in support of UPS and FedEx, which still must complete inspections on their MD-11Fs before flying them again. Amerijet on Nov. 13 began flying a 767-300BDSF (24929) between UPS’ hub in Louisville, Ky. (SDF), and Houston (IAH). The 1990-vintage aircraft is one of […] source

Lufthansa Group is the parent company of carriers Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss, Brussels Airlines, Discover, ITA Airways, among other subsidiaries. The airline’s internal analysis was led by the airline’s board member Dieter Vranckx, and consideration was given to the A321XLR due to its range capabilities and economic advantages. Some other major European carriers,…
US President Donald Trump is expected to approve a deal allowing Saudi Arabia to acquire dozens of F‑35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets despite serious Pentagon concerns, according to a report from Bloomberg News citing a White House official. The deal could be signed when Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visits the White House later in November 2025 to ink economic and defense agreements, the report said. According to multiple sources, the request by Saudi Arabia to purchase up to 48 F-35 jets had already cleared a major hurdle inside the US Department of Defense. However, the deal remains far from finalized. The White House has not publicly confirmed the sale, and a Pentagon…

The Sukhoi Su-57 program, initially known as PAK FA (Prospective Aeronautical Complex of Front-Line Aviation) with the internal designation T-50, was first undertaken by Sukhoi in 1999 as a fifth-generation successor to legacy Soviet designs. The legendary planemaker was called upon by the Russian Federation as it had nothing to compete with the US Air Force’s F-22 Raptor, which had debuted in 1997. In the nearly three decades that have followed since the beginning of that program, only a handful of the jets have been produced. Estimates range between 20 and 25 aircraft total, possibly as many as 30. The…
With the longest government shutdown in history now having ended, federal workers should be getting their (long overdue) paychecks by November 19, 2025. There’s no denying that a lot of people worked very hard to keep our aviation ecosystem moving during the shutdown, including air traffic controllers, TSA agents, etc. Along those lines, some TSA agents are receiving a very nice reward, though it’s not clear if this is at all widespread, or just a publicity stunt. Kristi Noem awards $10K checks to some TSA agents Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security announced that it’s giving $10,000 in bonuses to…
While its use in service is slowly on the decline, the Airbus A380 is still a highly valued workhorse for many of the largest airlines in the world. British Airways and Singapore Airlines are two of these carriers that continue to utilize the giant, relying on it for many of their highest-demand routes. The A380, known as the world’s largest passenger aircraft, serves as a test case for how airlines deliver long-haul comfort in a constantly shifting industry. Both British Airways and Singapore Airlines have embraced this superjumbo, yet in distinctly different ways that mirror their brand identities. For one,…
One of the best ways to maximize airline miles is to redeem on an airline other than the one you’re accruing miles with, and take advantage of award pricing sweet spots. There are some fantastic arbitrage opportunities out there, whether it’s redeeming Avianca Lifemiles for Lufthansa first class, or redeeming Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points for All Nippon Airways first class. While some airlines release the same award availability to all partners, there are often discrepancies in availability between airlines. Why does British Airways Club show a Japan Airlines award seat, but American AAdvantage doesn’t? Why does Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer…
