In recent times, Korean Air has been investing in its passenger experience. The airline has done this both in anticipation of its merger with Asiana (where it wants to create a harmonized experience), and also because Korean Air has kind of been second rate compared to some of its rivals in Asia. One of Korean Air’s biggest projects has involved expanding and renovating its lounge portfolio at its Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) Terminal 2 hub. As the very final piece of this puzzle, the airline has just revealed its new first class lounge, which is opening shortly. It’s a massive improvement…

Vertical Aerospace has achieved what its CEO Stuart Simpson described as the “most significant technical milestone” in its history after the air taxi developer became the first outside the US to execute a two-way transition. On 14 April 2026, at its spiritual home at Cotswold Airport (GBA), Chief Test Pilot Simon Davies successfully switched Vertical Aerospace’s electric vehicle takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from helicopter mode to plane mode and back again. Only Joby Aviation has achieved this feat before and is an essential part of what makes electric air taxis possible with eVTOL aircraft requiring the capability to operate…

The US Army has formally assigned a common name to its next-generation tiltrotor: the MV-75 will be known as the Cheyenne II, Bell Textron announced on April 15, 2026.   The designation ties the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program to one of the most ambitious, and most cautionary, chapters in US Army rotorcraft history.  The Cheyenne II name honors the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana and the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, the two federally recognized Cheyenne nations. The choice is consistent with the US Army’s long-standing practice of naming helicopters after Native American tribes, a convention that produced the…

Guys, this is an absolute mess. A couple of days ago, I covered how Lufthansa was dealing with back-to-back strikes from pilots and flight attendants. Well, I need to provide an update… we’re now seeing back-to-back-to-back strikes. It amazes me how bad Lufthansa management is at labor relations, despite the top brass at the company somehow priding themselves in being good at this. I just don’t get it. Oh, and today is officially Lufthansa’s 100th anniversary celebration, and the airline is grounded! Strikes shut down Lufthansa for five straight days Let’s not beat around the bush — Lufthansa has some…

The airline industry sure has changed a lot over the years, both for better and worse. Travel is more accessible than ever before, and on the high-end, premium travel is more comfortable than ever before. However, flying in general has just become another form of transportation, and isn’t treated in the same way it used to be. This is why it’s sometimes fun to look back at what the airline industry used to be like. Most old airline stuff seems genuinely cool, but then you also have some pretty cringeworthy stuff (like the below Delta ad), which makes you realize…
