During the upcoming 2025/26 IATA scheduling winter season, which runs from October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, KLM has said it will offer an expanded network of 161 destinations across its international network. The Mexican aviation authority has certified the first new aircraft type in seven decades to be fully developed and manufactured in Mexico.  The two-seater light sports aircraft, called Halcón 2.1, was produced by Horizontec, a private firm set up in 2014 by two entrepreneurs, Giovanni Angelucci and Eduardo Carrasco, in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato, in Central Mexico.  The Halcón 2.1 has been designed primarily with flight training schools in mind. NASA says the futuristic-looking X-59 quiet supersonic research aircraft is closing in on its first flight, with engineers conducting final checks of safety systems as the program moves from ground testing toward the all-important flight-test phase. Presidential Aviation (PRD, Fort Lauderdale Executive) has added a G650 to its Part 135 certificate. This is the first unit of the type in the company’s charter fleet, as chief operating officer Yoharner Echemendia previously revealed to ch-aviation in an exclusive interview. The 13.8-year-old ultra-long-range jet, N650MV (msn 6026), was previously privately operated and based at São Roque Sao Paulo Catarina.
