Russian aircraft were intercepted over the Alaska ADIZ and the Baltic Sea hours after Trump suggested NATO should shoot down intruding jets. Two formations of Russian aircraft have been intercepted few hours apart in the Alaska ADIZ (Air Defense Identification Zone) and over the Baltic Sea. Drone developer Windracers has gained approval from the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to launch the country’s first international unmanned aerial system (UAS) flight for civil purposes.  On September 26, 2025, Windracers confirmed that permission had been given to fly its heavy lift drone ULTRA between UK airspace and the adjoining airspace of another state.  Approval from the CAA was granted on September 16, 2025, alongside Luftfartstilsynet, the Civil Aviation Authority of Norway, allowing the ULTRA drone to fly beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) from Tingwall Airport (LWK) in the Shetlands to Haugesund Airport (HAU) in Norway.  Windracers said…

Norwegian Air Shuttle has put its name down for another 30 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with the US planemaker announcing the order earlier this morning. The carrier, which flies the type both under its own Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and that of its Swedish subsidiary, now has 80 737 MAX jets on order. Brazilian low-cost airline Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes SA (GOL) has announced that its parent company, Abra Group, has officially ended merger talks with rival airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (Azul). A Qantas Boeing 737-800 has made an emergency landing in Auckland after the crew were alerted to a possible fire in the cargo hold. The aircraft eventually landed safely, with all 156 passengers disembarking without injury. The incident unfolded as Qantas flight QF141 headed from Sydney Airport (SYD) to Auckland International Airport (AKL) on September 26, 2025.
