The Trump administration has given the Pentagon and US intelligence agencies the green light to start providing Ukraine with intelligence for long-range missile strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal, citing US officials.  The decision was formalized in an order recently signed by President Donald Trump, who also urged NATO allies to enhance similar intelligence-sharing efforts, according to officials who spoke with the WSJ.  The officials said this intelligence will enable Ukraine to target refineries, pipelines, power stations, and other infrastructure located far from its borders, aiming to reduce oil supplies that support…

Since first flying back in November of 2016 and entering service just over two years later, the Bombardier Global 7500 has continued to make headlines as the world’s fastest private jet, and the fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde. Such are its exploits that the jet has now set 150 speed records. This milestone achievement was announced by Bombardier earlier today, as the Canadian planemaker gears up for the introduction of the new Global 8000 variant. As for the existing Global 7500, the jet really is an aircraft that can do it all, as it combines the triple threat of range,…

Ryanair has announced that it will not resume 22 flights to and from Tel Aviv at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV), the main airport of Israel, in winter 2025-2026 season, due to the airport’s refusal to confirm the airline’s slots for its summer 2026 schedule.  In a statement released on September 30, 2025, Ryanair explained that the decision was influenced by Ben Gurion Airport’s refusal to ensure that Terminal 1, mainly used by low-cost airlines, would remain operational during any potential “future security issues”.  Ryanair’s flights to Tel Aviv faced multiple interruptions in summer 2025 due to security concerns over Israeli…

On October 1, Gulf Air returned to New York JFK, which is not among the world’s ten busiest airports. It uses JFK’s Terminal 1. It only announced the route from Bahrain in mid-July. It had just two-and-a-half months to grow awareness and sales, although its long-term codeshare agreement with American Airlines via London Heathrow will have given it better visibility in the market. Gulf Air previously flew to New York until 1997. While the flights were nearly always from Bahrain, they were also from Abu Dhabi and Doha, as it was historically the flag carrier of the UAE and Qatar…

Two Amazon Prime Air MK30 delivery drones struck the same construction crane on the morning of October 1, 2025, crashing into two separate parking lots near Phoenix, Arizona, and prompting Amazon to halt its drone deliveries in the area.  The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. local time roughly two miles northeast of Amazon’s drone launch site in Tolleson, Arizona, within a commercial business park west of Phoenix. According to local authorities and fire crews, the drones were flying in tandem — one reportedly took off right after the other — when both collided with an extended crane being used…

European low-cost giant Ryanair will not resume its flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, this winter, unless Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) provides the carrier with assurances regarding the terminal and historic slot retention. Meanwhile, rival airline Wizz Air plans to capitalize on Ryanair’s absence and boost its presence in Israel’s largest city by offering one million seats for the 2025/26 winter season. Ryanair’s services to Tel Aviv were repeatedly disrupted over the summer due to security concerns regarding the country’s airspace in the wake of the Israel-Gaza war. The low-cost carrier is now unwilling to restart what it describes as “loss-making…

Russia has adapted its Iskander-M and Kinzhal ballistic missiles to evade Ukraine’s air defenses, Ukrainian and Western officials told the Financial Times in October 2025. Software changes appear to let the missiles follow a normal trajectory before suddenly diving steeply or veering in the terminal phase, moves designed to confuse interceptors.  The effect has been visible. According to FT, Ukraine’s ballistic missile interception rate climbed to 37% in August 2025 but then plummeted to just 6% in September 2025, despite fewer launches. Over the summer, Russian strikes badly damaged at least four drone-making sites in and around Kyiv, including one…
