Airbus nears annual delivery goal with 507 jets handed over by September 2025

Airbus’ third-quarter performance in 2025 shows strong growth in aircraft deliveries, keeping the company on track for its annual target of around 820 for the year, even as new orders slowed in September 2025.

According to Airbus’ latest aircraft delivery and order figures, the planemaker delivered 73 aircraft to 41 customers in September 2025, which is 12 more than the 61 aircraft delivered to 39 customers in August 2025.

So far in 2025, Airbus delivered 507 aircraft to 79 customers. This number keeps the company on track to reach its annual goal of approximately 820 aircraft deliveries for the entire year.

Out of the 507 aircraft delivered so far in 2025, 454 were single-aisle jets, 20 were from the A330 family, and 33 were from the A350 family. The single-aisle A321neo family continued to account for the majority of deliveries.

Order intake slows in September 2025

In September 2025, Airbus secured 10 gross orders, a significant drop from the 99 orders recorded in August 2025. This decline comes after a strong recovery earlier in the year, when orders jumped from just seven in July 2025.

However, Airbus appears to be making solid progress in securing new orders throughout the whole year. The company has recorded 610 firm orders so far in 2025, which includes major commitments from Avolon and BOC Aviation.

Out of these total orders, 411 were for single-aisle aircraft, 90 for the A330 family, and 109 for the A350 line. Although 96 orders were cancelled, the overall number of aircraft on order – 514 – still highlights Airbus’ strong performance as it approaches the final quarter of 2025.

Industry analysts predict further production growth in the final quarter of 2025, with monthly deliveries expected to stay above 70 aircraft, meaning that Airbus will likely finish the year having delivered over 800 aircraft to customers globally – the goal the company announced during its half-year results presentation on July 30, 2025.
