Authorities confirmed that all four people were lost in the crash and that the NTSB is involved. ADS-B data shows the final recorded position at approximately 00:19 local time near the summit of Emerald Mountain, about 0.8 nautical miles left of the extended centerline and 3 nm south of the threshold for runway 32. Boeing is reportedly hoping to finally get its first production-standard 777X airborne this April. If this schedule holds, the flight could get Boeing back in the long-range widebody competition… only six years behind its intended timeline. The aircraft preparing for flight is built for launch customer Lufthansa and is currently undergoing fuel system testing at Boeing’s Everett facility in Washington. After a blunt GAO report and nearly 20 serious mishaps across the services in about two years, the Marine Corps has confirmed that it is making five major safety updates to its MV-22 Osprey fleet.
