Also: Drones v MedHelos, Counter-Drone Operations, DARPA X-65, India’s Largest eVTOL Demonstrator The FBI said it has seized more than 600 drones near World Cup sites since the tournament began on June 11 after authorities determined the devices violated restricted airspace. In Kansas City alone, there have been 32 drone seizures outside World Cup events so far. The total number of seized drones nationwide has doubled in less than two weeks. The FBI, along with accredited operators from local and state law enforcement around the country, is monitoring drone activity near World Cup competitions and related fan events. Firefly Aerospace secures a 144 million dollar NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services contract to deliver its next Blue Ghost lunar mission. The award reinforces NASA’s push for rapid, repeatable commercial access to the Moon. Launch is currently targeted for 2028 following an accelerated development timeline. A record field is set to gather in Great Britain as the world’s finest scale model aviators prepare to compete. The championship blends engineering, craftsmanship, and flying skill in one of aviation’s most demanding disciplines. With new nations joining the field, the event highlights the growing global appeal of competitive aeromodelling. The 2026 FAI F4 World Championships for Scale Model Aircraft opens on July 9th at the British Model Flying Association National Centre for Aeromodelling in Buckminster, Great Britain.
