It signals the start of an expanded test phase that will shape the aircraft’s path toward certification and entry into service. The NTSB released its preliminary report into the May 14 crash that killed all four people aboard an air ambulance near Ruidoso, New Mexico. The Beech C90 King Air was flying from Roswell, N.M. with two pilots from Generation Jets and two flight nurses to pick up a patient. The aircraft was on an instrument flight plan. GPS-jamming activities that encompassed the area around the accident flight were being conducted by the United States military during the time of the flight… Local officials once again are calling for the closure of Whiteman Airport after a recent accident, one in a sporadic series of incidents at the airport over many years that concern residents and elected officials, to the exclusion/notice of all the many ground accidents that create far more hazard and property damage than any aircraft accident, to date, to the surrounding community. All this — and MORE in today’s episode of Airborne-Unlimited!!!
