Saudi low-cost airline flyadeal enters the Indian market with Hyderabad route

On May 27, 2026, Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal announced the launch of its first scheduled services to India.

The Saudi airline is launching a new route linking Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH) to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in Hyderabad (HYD), starting from July 1, 2026.

“Hyderabad is the first step of our planned expansion into India, fueled by the strong economic, social and cultural ties that India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have enjoyed for decades,” said Sanjiv Kapoor, acting Chief Executive Officer at flyadeal and Executive Vice President Strategies at Saudia Group.

Kapoor also revealed that a second Indian destination will soon be added to flyadeal’s network.

While the Hyderabad service marks the debut of flyadeal in India as a scheduled operator, this will not be the first time the Saudi carrier has landed in India. Over the last few years, flyadeal has operated a number of charter services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims traveling to Mecca, which is located very close to flyadeal’s main base at King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah (JED).

flyadeal will operate the new service with Airbus A320neo aircraft fitted with 186 seats in an all-economy class configuration.
