A Spitfire has been repainted in the style of the original K5054 prototype, and it has embarked on a series of flights to mark the 90th anniversary of the plane. The UK-wide tour of an iconic WW2 Spitfire is underway, marking the 90th anniversary of the legendary aircraft’s first flight in 1936. The aircraft is making nine flights around the UK as part of the commemorations to mark the milestone.
